Spare an Hour to Save Your Child / Teenager
It takes a village to raise a child, and dreadfully, it takes a village to abuse a child too.
And it will take our whole community to stop the exponential growth in Child Sexual Exploitation mainly driven by poor internet usage.
Online grooming and sexual exploitation of children is growing at a rate of 50% per year and is largely preventable if only adults were aware of and engaged with the problem.
That is why I am asking you to volunteer 1 hour to learn about the risks your children and young people face and share those risks with your children, grandchildren or younger brothers and sisters, in an age appropriate way.
If you can spare just one hour in the next 14 days, please do this
- sign up here and/ or tweet a photo of your hand using #CyberSafeCheshire
- sit down and speak with your family member and share the Facebook advice and watch the appropriate 'Real Love Rocks' video from Barnardos.
It only takes an hour - but it is totally about your children, teenagers and grandchildren's future.
